The Training Calendar

Salesforce provides an interactive training calendar. From the calendar you can see all planned training courses as well as trainers rosters. When you first start using Salesforce, you may need to subscribe these calendars, to ensure that you can see them and use them properly. Fortunately, this is really easy to do - 

1. Select the Calendars Tab

The calendars tab is found in your Salesforce navigation bar.

2. Select 'Add Existing Calendar'

You can find this link under 'My Calendars' in the left hand side of your window.

3. Select the 'Courses' and 'Trainer Roster' Calendars

Move the 'Courses' and 'Trainer Roster' options to the 'Available' section, using the arrows and select 'Save'.

4. Success!

You can now toggle on and off the Courses and Trainer Roster calendars. They work similarly to other online calendars, but here are a few tips - 

  1. Single clicking on a entry will show you some more details - the course location and trainer for example
  2. Double clicking on an entry will open it in a new tab
  3. The Gantt view allows you to split and splice your data. Using it on the 'Trainer Roster' calendar is especially useful
  4. When using the 'Week' or 'Day' views try clicking on the check box on the top left of your screen, it provides a cool agenda view
