Industry Course & Opportunities Updates - Aug 18

Effective from August 2018, some key changes were rolled out with the Industry Opportunities & Course structures, to enable us to align our internal processes with our customers nominating training venues of their choosing. 

1. Industry Opportunity Enhancements

1.1 Industry Quote Template - Please select one of the following:-

- Industry Quote with Ext Venue (if you want to nominate a training location which is not the customer's account shipping address)

- Standard Industry Quote (this is the standard Industry template which shows the customer's shipping address on the document)

NOTE: If you don't select a template type, the system will select the standard quote template for you

1.2 Create a Shipping Location as the customer's training venue. E.g. Virgin Australia are nominating the Mantra Hotel in Brisbane City as their venue for one of our course. 

Click on the "Shipping Address" field and select: Customer Training Venue:

- Complete all required fields (marked with a red *) as required in a similar format to below, then click Save: 

- Once you click Save, you'll be taken back to your opportunity detail page. 

- You can still use the existing Training Location field for additional info you wish to appear on your quotation, e.g. max. number of attendees as shown below:

1.3 Adding additional information to your opportunity product line-items to show the course times, etc. 

E.g. if you're quoting for a stacked (combined) course as shown below:

1.4 Click on Send Industry Quote to generate your quote, as per standard process:

2. Industry Course Enhancements

2.1 The training admin team will create the Industry course and if the opportunity owner has created an external customer venue in the above-mentioned processes, the opportunity owner must mention this in their Chatter post/email to the training admin team. 

The opportunity owner needs to give the training administrator the exact name of the customer location that they previously created and enter that into the Customer Location field as per below:

Alternatively, the person creating the course can create a new customer location themself, directly from the Customer Location field (e.g. this is the process that the NT Salesforce system users follow). 

Note: The system won't allow you to create both a Location and Customer Location against a course. 

Once the training admin/course owner clicks Save, the full address of the customer location will appear on the screen:

The course location information will also appear on the course sessions as per below: 

3. Booking Confirmation & Attendee Confirmation Enhancements

3.1 The booking confirmation template has been modified to show the course location as below:

3.2 The attendee confirmation letter has also been modified to show the venue information:
