Updating Holiday/Time Off

The training rostering team use information in Salesforce to determine which trainers to roster to courses. To assist the team (and Salesforce) in doing this, it is important  to keep your holiday and time off up to date in Salesforce. This is nice and easy to do.

1. Find your trainer record in Salesforce

The first step in adding time off into Salesforce is to navigate to your trainer record. You can do this using the global search bar at the top of the page. Simply start typing your name and you should be able to see your trainer contact record. Once you do, select the record. 

2. Add your Time Off

Once you have found your trainer record, there are two ways to record your time off. 

The first is to use the 'Add Time Off' button on the top right of the screen. When you select this, a new popup will appear allowing you to enter the details.

The second way is to use your embedded 'Time Off' calendar. First, make sure you are in the 'Details' tab. Then, scroll down the page to location the 'Trainer - Time Off' calendar. To use the calendar simply click on the day('s) for which you would like to add time off and complete the details!

Once you have added time off it will exclude you from the Salesforce trainer assignment wizard to ensure you are not double booked.
